ಪರದೈವವನು ತೊರೆಯೆ ಗತಿ ನರನಿಗಿಲ್ಲ ದಿಟ ।
ನರನಿಲ್ಲದಿರೆ ದೇವನನು ಕೇಳ್ವರಾರು? ॥
ಪುರುಷತೆಯೆ ಸೇತುವೆ ಮೃಗತ್ವದಿಂ ದಿವ್ಯತೆಗೆ ।
ಮುರಿಯದಿರು ಸೇತುವೆಯ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೨೯ ॥
ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಗತಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ಸರ್ವರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಆ ಪರಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೇ ಪಶುತ್ವಕ್ಕೂ ದೈವತ್ವಕ್ಕೂ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಸೇತುವೆ. ಆ ಸೇತುವೆಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯದೆ ಇರು ಎಂದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದೇವರೆಂಬ ತತ್ವಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯದಿರು ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.

ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ ಕಿವಿ ಮನಗಳರಿವಷ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಜಗ ।
ನಿನ್ನನಳಿಸುವ ನಗಿಸುವೆಲ್ಲ ನಿನ್ನಂಶ ॥
ಉನ್ನತಿಗೆ ನೀನೇರಿದಂತೆ ಜಗ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ ।
ಸಣ್ಣತನ ಸವೆಯುವುದು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೩೦ ॥
ನೀನು ಕಾಣುವಷ್ಟು, ನೀನು ಕೇಳುವಷ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಎಷ್ಟನ್ನು ಊಹಿಸಬಹುದೋ ಅಷ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಜಗತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಡಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ನಗಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅಂಶಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನವೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ನೀನು ಬೆಳೆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಜಗತ್ತು ವಿಶಾಲವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣತನ ಸವೆದು ನೀನೂ ಸಹ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತೀಯೆ ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.

ಸ್ವಸ್ವರೂಪವನರಸುವಾಟ ಪರಚೇತನದ ।
ಹೃಷ್ಯದ್ವಿಲಾಸವೆಲೊ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೩೧ ॥
ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಆ ಪರಮ ಪೌರುಷ(ಶಕ್ತಿ)ವೊಂದು ವಿಕಸನ ಮತ್ತು ಹ್ರಾಸನ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ತಾನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಆಟವನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತಾ ಜಗನ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಲಾಸದಿಂದ ಮಗ್ನವಾಗಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಅರುಹಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.

ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಪರಿಯನಿಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯೆಂತು ಕಂಡೀತು? ।
ಗಟ್ಟಿ ನಿಲದದು ಬೀಳೆ ಗೋಡೆ ಬಿರಿಯುವುದು ॥
ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕೋಟೆಯಲಿ ನೀನೊಂದಿಟಿಕೆ; ಸೊಟ್ಟಾಗೆ ।
ಪೆಟ್ಟು ತಿನ್ನುವೆ ಜೋಕೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೩೨ ॥
ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡುವುದು ಕಟ್ಟಡ. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಹೇಗಿರುವುದೆಂದು ಆ ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅರಿಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಗೋಡೆ ಬಿರುಕುಬಿಡುವುದು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೂ ಒಂದು ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ. ನಾವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪೆಟ್ಟು ತಿಂದು ಸರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು, ಜೋಕೆ ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.
How can the brick know about the structure of the building? But if it does not stand firm, the wall cracks and the building fails. So, the mason makes sure that every brick is laid out just the way it should. However once in a while a lone brick will stick out. The mason will either hit it back into the wall or chop it off. In the fort of this creation, each man is a mere brick. If you do anything that does not fit in the grand scheme, be prepared to be whacked. - Mankutimma

ಪುರುಷಂ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನೋ? ದೈವವಿಧಿ ಪರವಶನೊ? ।
ಎರಡುಮನಿತಿನಿತುಳ್ಳ ತೋಳಿನಂತಿಹನೋ? ॥
ತಿರುಗುವುದು ಮಡಿಸುವುದು ತೋಳ್ ಮೈಯಕಟ್ಟಿನಲಿ ।
ನರನಂತು ಮಿತಶಕ್ತ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೩೩ ॥
"ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನೋ ಅಥವಾ ಅವನು ದೈವ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನನೋ? ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನಿಚ್ಛೆ ಎರಡೂ ಅಲ್ಪ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಇರುವವನೋ?" ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೈಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಮಿತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ತೋಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಲು,ಮಡಿಸಲು ತಿರುಗಿಸಲು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರವಿದೆಯೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಾವು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ವಿಧಿಯ ಮಿತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ‘ನಡೆದು’ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಎಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಇತಿ ಮಿತಿಗಳ ಒಂದು ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.
Is man independent? Or is he always under the control of Providence? Both of them are true to some extent. He is as free as his arms are. They can swing and fold by their wish - but even when they do, they have to follow the body structure. Man's power is also limited thus to the outline that Providence provides. - Mankutimma
