ತಾಪಿಸುತೆ ತಣಿಯಿಸುತೆ ಕುಲುಕಿಸುತೆ ಋತುವೈದ್ಯ ।
ಭೂಪಟದಿ ಜೀವರಸಗಳ ಪಚಿಸುವಂತೆ ॥
ಪಾಪಿಯಂ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಹಿಸಿ ಸುಕೃತಿಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ ।
ವೇಪಿಪನು ವಿಧಿ ನಮ್ಮ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೫೯ ॥
ಬಿಸಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು, ಮಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನೆಸಿ, ಚಳಿಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡುಗಿಸಿ, ಋತು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವರಸಗಳ ಪಾಕ ಮಾಡಿ ಪಕ್ವ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಯು ಹಲಬಗೆಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿಗೊಡ್ಡಿ, ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಡುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದೇ ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದ ಹೂರಣ.

ಆವ ಬೇಳೆಯದಾವ ನೀರಿನಲಿ ಬೇಯುವುದೊ! ।
ಆವ ಜೀವದ ಪಾಕವಾವ ತಾಪದಿನೋ! ॥
ಆ ವಿವರವನು ಕಾಣದಾಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆಯದೇನು? ।
ದೈವಗುಟ್ಟದು ತಿಳಿಯೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೬೦ ॥
ಯಾವ ಬೇಳೆ ಯಾವ ನೀರಿನಲಿ ಬೇಯುವುದೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಪಕ್ವವಾಗಲು ಯಾವ ಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ, ಸುಟ್ಟು, ಬೆಂದು, ತೋಯ್ದು, ನೋಡು ಎಷ್ಟುದಿನ ಅನುಭವಿಸಬೇಕೋ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಈ ಅನುಭವದ ಯಾವುದೋ ಸ್ಥರದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ ಅಥವಾ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದು ದೈವ ಅಥವಾ ವಿಧಿಯ ರಹಸ್ಯ, ಇದನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೋ ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.

ವಿಧಿಯ ಹೊರೆಗಳನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳುವನೆಲ್ಲಿಹನು? ।
ಬೆದರಿಕೆಯನದರಿಂದ ನೀಗಿಪನು ಸಖನು ॥
ಎದೆಯನುಕ್ಕಾಗಿಸಾನಿಸು ಬೆನ್ನ, ತುಟಿಯ ಬಿಗಿ ।
ವಿಧಿಯಗಸ, ನೀಂ ಕತ್ತೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೬೧ ॥
ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾದಿಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲವಾದವರು ಯಾರೂ ಸಹ ಈ ವಿಧಿಯು ಹೇರಿಸುವ ಹೊರೆಗಳ ಭಾರಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರುವ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸುವವನೇ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿಜವಾದ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ. ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು( ಎದೆಯನ್ನು) ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದಂತೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿಸಿ, ಬೆನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರೆ ಹೊತ್ತು, ತುಟಿಪಿಟಕ್ಕೆನ್ನದೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ವಿಧಿಯು ಅಗಸನಾದರೆ ನೀನು ಕತ್ತೆಯಂತೆ ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರ ಉಪಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸ್ತವದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು.

ಟಗರೆರಡ ಬೆಳಸಿ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಕೆಣಕಿ ಹುರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ।
ಜಗಳವಾಡಿಸಿ ದೈವಜೀವಗಳ ಪೆಸರಿಂ ॥
ನಗುತಲಿರುವನು ನೋಡಿ; ಪರಬೊಮ್ಮನೇಂ ಬಿನದಿ! ।
ಬಿಗಿಯದಿರು ನೀಂ ಬೀಗಿ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೬೨ ॥
ವಿಧಿಯ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ದೈವ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಜೀವ ಇವೆರಡನ್ನೂ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಟಗರುಗಳಂತೆ ಬೆಳೆಸಿ ಒಂದು ಇನ್ನೊಂದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೆಣಸಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಆ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮ ನಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಗರ್ವ ಪಡದಿರು, ಎಂದು ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಒಂದು ಸಂದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.
"God has reared two fighting goats. He has fed them well. He provokes them, eggs them to fight against each other. These goats symbolizes fate(providence) and human effort. He is watching the fight and laughing. There are no winners in this game even though at times either of the goats may feel good. You be wary of feeling proud of your own accomplishments." - Mankutimma

ಮನುಷ್ಯಚರಿತೆಯಚ್ಛಿನ್ನವಾಹಿನಿ ಸಾಗ ।
ಲಾನುಪೂರ್ವ್ಯದ ಕರ್ಮಋಣಶೇಷವಿನಿತು ॥
ತಾನಿರಲೆಬೇಕಲ್ತೆ ಪೌರುಷಸ್ಪರ್ಧನೆಗೆ ।
ಆನೆಗಂಕುಶದಂತೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೬೩ ॥
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಜೀವನ ಹೀಗೇ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕಾದರೆ, ಪ್ರತೀ ಜನ್ಮದಲ್ಲೂ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಕರ್ಮಶೇಷ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು. ನಿಷ್ಶೇಶವಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಪುನರ್ಜನ್ಮವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಋಣ ಶೇಷ ಉಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಆ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಪಾತ್ರ ಧರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆನೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂಕುಶದಿಂದ ಹತೋಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವಂತೆ ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.
