ಒಲ್ಲೆನೆನುವರದಾರ್ ಅಹಿಂಸೆತತ್ತ್ವದ ಸೊಬಗ? ।
ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನಾ ವ್ರತವನೆನಲೊಂದು ತೊಡಕು ॥
ಹುಲ್ಲೆಯನು ತಿನುವ ಹುಲಿಯೊಣಹುಲ್ಲನುಣಲಹುದೆ ।
ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲಿ ದಯೆ? - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೪೪ ॥
ಅಹಿಂಸೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡವೆನ್ನುವವರು ಯಾರು. ಆದರೆ ಅಹಿಂಸಾ ವ್ರತ ಪಾಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಕಿದೆ. ತನ್ನ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಂಕೆ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಾರ ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ, ಹುಲಿಯು ಹುಲ್ಲ ತಿಂದು ಜೀವಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆಯೇ. ಈ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲಿ ದಯೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.

ಕೊಲೆಗಡಿಕನೆನಿಪ ಹುಲಿ ಸಲಹದೇಂ ಮರಿಗಳನು? ।
ಒಲುಮೆಕರುಳಡಗಿಹುದು ಪಗೆತನದ ಪೊಡೆಯೊಳ್ ॥
ನಲುಮೆಯನು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿಸುವುದು ನರನುನ್ನತಿಕೆ ।
ಒಲವಾತ್ಮವಿಸ್ತರಣ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೪೫ ॥
ಕೊಲೆಗಡುಕ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯೆಂದು ಹೆಸರ ಪಡೆದ ಹುಲಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲಹುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಲುಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹಗೆತನ ಎರಡೂ ಅಂತರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರವರ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಂತೆ ಭಾವಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುದು ಸಹಜ. ಹಾಗೆ ನಲುಮೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವುದು ನರನ ಔನ್ನತ್ಯ. ಆತ್ಮದ ಗುಣವೇ ಆನಂದವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಲವನ್ನು ತೋರುವುದು ಆತ್ಮದ ಗುಣ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು.

ಪ್ರೇಮಬೀಜಗಳಿಹುವು ವೈರಬೀಜಗಳವೊಲೆ ।
ಸೌಮ್ಯಮುಂ ಸಂಕ್ಷೋಭೆಯಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಲಿ ॥
ಭ್ರಾಮಕದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾ ವಿಷಮಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲಿ ।
ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯವನರಸೊ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೪೬ ॥
ಈ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಲಿ, ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕ್ಷೋಭೆಯ ಭಾವಗಳಿರುವಂತೆ, ಪ್ರೇಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ದ್ವೇಷಕ್ಕೂ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿವೆ. ಭ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವಂಥಾ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ನೀನು ಸಮರಸವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕು ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.

ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಮನೆಗಲೆವ ಗಾಳಿ ಹೊಗೆಯಂತೆ ॥
ಮನುಜರ ಪರಸ್ಪರೋದ್ರೇಕ ಜಗದ ವಿಲಾಸ ।
ಮನವೆ ಪರಮಾದ್ಭುತವೊ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೪೭ ॥
ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ ಒಲೆಯ ಹೊಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರ ಮನೆಗೂ ನುಗ್ಗುವಂತೆ,ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಬೇಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಉದ್ರೇಕಗಳ ವಿಲಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು, ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು

ತೆರಿಗೆಗಳು ಹಲವುಂಟು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಗಂ ಸಲ್ಲುವುವು ।
ತೆರದೆ ನೀಂ ಮರೆಯೆ ದಂಡಿಪಳಾಕೆ ಮುನಿದು ॥
ಕರಣಂಗಳಾಕೆಯವು ಮಿತದೊಳವುಗಳ ಬಳಸಿ ।
ತೆರು ಸಲುವ ಬಾಡಿಗೆಯ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೪೮ ॥
ನಾವು ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವಾಗ ತೆರಬೇಕಾದ ತೆರಿಗೆಗಳು ಹಲವಾರು ಉಂಟು. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಗೂ ಕೆಲವು ಸಲ್ಲುವುವು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನೇನಾದರೂ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ವಿಧಿಸುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ದತ್ತವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಮಗೆ ಜೀವಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳಿದ್ದಂತೆ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾದ ಬಾಡಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲೇಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನ ಹೇಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ .
