Invocation

ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವಿಶ್ವಾದಿ ಮೂಲ ಮಾಯಾಲೋಲ ।
ದೇವ ಸರ್ವೇಶ ಪರಬೊಮ್ಮನೆಂದು ಜನಂ ॥
ಆವುದನು ಕಾಣದೊಡಮಳ್ತಿಯಿಂ ನಂಬಿಹುದೊ ।
ಆ ವಿಚಿತ್ರಕೆ ನಮಿಸೊ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧ ॥

ವಿಶ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲವಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಷ್ಣು, ಮಾಯಾಲೋಲ, ದೇವರು, ಪರಬ್ರಹ್ಮ, ಸರ್ವಕ್ಕೂ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಪರಮ ಪುರುಷ ಹೀಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ಹೆಸರುಗಳಿಂದ ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಜನರು ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದರೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ನಂಬಿರುವರೋ  ಆ ವಿಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು. 

Salute to that strangeness that people believe heavily in even without seeing. They all describe it differently - Sri Vishnu, beginning of everything including this world, Weaver of this web of magic, omnipotent God and the creator. - Mankutimma

ಜೀವ ಜಡರೂಪ ಪ್ರಪಂಚವನದಾವುದೋ।
ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡುಮೊಳನೆರೆದುಮಿಹುದಂತೆ॥
ಭಾವಕೊಳಪಡದಂತೆ ಅಳತೆಗಳವಡದಂತೆ।
ಆ ವಿಶೇಷಕೆ ನಮಿಸೊ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨ ॥

ಈ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದು ಎರಡೇ. ಒಂದು ಜಡ ಮತ್ತು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಜೀವ. ಜಡವೆಂದರೆ ಚೇತನವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು. ಜೀವವೆಂದರೆ ಚೇತನ . ಇವೆರಡರ ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನವೇ ಜಗದ್ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಇವೆರಡರಲ್ಲೂ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ, ಭಾವದಿಂದ ಊಹಿಸಲಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ, ಅಳತೆಗೆ ಸಿಗದ ವ್ಯಾಪಕತ್ವವು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಆ ವಿಶೇಷಕೆ (ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನಿಗೆ) ನಮಿಸೋ, ಮಣಿಯೋ, ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸೋ ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಡಿ.ವಿ.ಜಿ.

Salute that unique thing that has at the same time both surrounded and penetrated every object - living or otherwise. Neither does it yield to emotions nor can it be measured. - Mankutimma

ಇಹುದೊ ಇಲ್ಲವೊ ತಿಳಿಯಗೊಡದೊಂದು ವಸ್ತು ನಿಜ।
ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂ ಜಗವಾಗಿ ಜೀವವೇಷದಲಿ ॥
ವಿಹರಿಪುದದೊಳ್ಳಿತೆಂಬುದು ನಿಸದವಾದೊಡಾ ।
ಗಹನ ತತ್ತ್ವಕೆ ಶರಣೊ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೩ ॥

It is very difficult to conclude whether it exists or not. An entity which is manifesting its glory by flowing in this world as life. If it is really true, then seek refuge in that deep thought. - Mankutimma
